Another woman killed by husband in Mpu

It seems the killing of women has now become fashion in Mpumalanga province.

Thimothy Bhila (66) butchered his wife on Friday evening at their home in Newskom.  Bhila and the victim were allegedly drinking when before the gruesome event which saw the wife being killed with a panga and left in a pit toilet where the lifeless body of the 42 -year old woman was discovered by her teenage stepson in a pit toilet.  The bed in the house was also full of blood and the panga was on top of the bed.

The 16-year old boy noticed that there was blood everywhere and alerted his stepmother’s friend who called the police to the scene where the suspect’s clothes were found under the bed.

The spokesperson for Pienaar police station Capt Jabu Ndubane confirmed the incident and said a case of murder has been opened and police are still trying to find Bhila. “When police arrived at the scene, the woman was already dead. According to the information we obtained from a friend earlier, the couple were drinking alcohol and had a quarrel. We discovered a bloodied panga on top of their bed and clothes that the boyfriend was wearing under the bed. We are still searching for the suspect.”

The victim leaves two young children between the ages of three and wife behind.
