POLICE are looking for two men accused of robbing and assaulting an elderly couple and their grandson on a farm at Wakkerstroom, near Piet Retief.
According to the police the victims were watching television in their house when two armed men and their faces covered with balaclavas stormed in.
“They tied up the three victims with cable ties demanding money and firearms before they ransacked the house taking an undisclosed amount of cash, jewellery, as well as 11 firearms, then fled the scene in a Toyota Fortuner belonging to the family,” police said in a statement.
“After a while, the grandson managed to disentangle himself and shout for help, neighbours summoned the police,” the statement read.
The stolen vehicle was later found abandoned at Driefontein near Piet Retief.
