During a routine stop-and-search on the N4 at Kaapmuiden, police found a stash of marijuana (dagga) with a street value of R160 000. The Ford Eco Sport was literally packed to the rafters with the drug.

The driver did not stop and SAPD officers chased it down after a high-speed chase, the police managed to push the drug transporters off the road and found five bags of compressed dagga in the vehicle.

The suspects are all expected to appear in the Barberton magistrate court. Cluster Commander for the Tonga police station Maj Gen Dorah Xaba commended the members who were involved in this success for their good work. And soon all the green stuff will go up in smoke, not in a pipe but the Mpumalanga air as the stash is to be destroyed.
