THE wife of a Mpumalanga businessman Andre Hanekom who died in police custody in Mozambique last week is appealing to the government to assist her to repatriate his body.  Hanekom was arrested in August last year after being accused of terrorism.

He got ill while in prison and died.  Francis Hanekom believed that her husband was poisoned.  She claims that the Mozambique legal medicine department does not want to issue a certificate of non-infectious diseases to allow her to transport the body across the border.
