Hawks member implicated in CIT heist

PETRUS Doctor Nkosi (53), a Warrant Officer attached to the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit was arrested by his own colleagues on Monday 14 May 2018 for conspiracy to commit a cash-in-transit heist, armed robbery, money laundering and  defeating the ends of justice as well as unauthorised use of state vehicle.

The officer allegedly conspired with a cash-in-transit heist syndicate during 2015 which reportedly resulted in a bank robbery and a cash-in-transit heist in Hazyview that year, when R1.4Million was robbed. Investigations linked Nkosi to the syndicate through money market transactions when a relative of Nkomsi allegedly withdrew money on his behalf.

Nkosi  appeared in the Nelspruit Magistrate`s Court yesterday and he was granted R8 000.00 bail and the case has been postponed to May16 pending further investigation.
