THE LEC Hazyview Enduro is one of the shorts on the racing calendar. Always involving major work behind the scenes, this event was no different. Bridges had to be built as the track crossed both the Marite and Sabie Rivers twice.
The route had to be cleared, taking in consideration different types of riders and their respective skill levels. Most of the track was a usual route, but more experienced riders needed more challenging routes.
Robert Garvie started the Enduro, taking a few missed turns, having some falls and ended 4th overall. Local boy, Barend Erasmus, took first podium place with Luck Walker finishing in second place after running out of fuel. Bryce Van Heerden ended 3rd.
The 50cc and 65cc riders kept their parents busy as they vied for the trophies.
No Enduro can take place without the land owners. The LEC club would like to thank Jack Brotherton for the use of his farm and every sponsor who made the day possible.
