Gospel music lovers in Bushbuckridge had a wonderful time of rejoicing at Hilltop Assembly in Mkhuhlu on Sunday evening. According to the organiser of the event Just-Sam productions, Sam Mkhabela, they organised the event to bring people together to worship and thank God for everything he has done since the beginning of the year.
“As a production team, we realised that God has been good to us and the only thing we can do was to thank Him with worship, that is why we brought local artists on board with local pastors to give God the praise that He deserves” said Mkhabela.
Host artist of the day was the gospel music veteran pastor Nsika Nzimande from the Church on the Hill and the crowd danced to his music from the first song to the last one. His music is said to reflect daily life and that is why it is so popular.
Nzimande was also celebrating his 20 years in the music industry and 23 years of marriage and told the crowd that if it wasn’t for God he wouldn’t be here, that is why he hosted the music concert with the people of Bushbuckridge since it’s also an area where his leading the flock of God.
The Executive Mayor of Bushbuckridge Local Municipality Sylvia Nxumalo also attended and told the crowd that they must support local events. She also said, “I always encourage people to always put God first because I believe that He will open a way where there is none, as leader of this areas there is nothing that I will do without asking God if it is a right thing to do, and I must thank pastor Nsika for hosting such a beautiful event in our region and our people must make it a point that they attend” said Nxumalo.
Dr Richard Ngomane gave a motivational talk at the event he said the people must appreciate their gift. “God created in his image but gave us different gifts that we must embrace, there if your gift or talent do not bring you down to your knees you must know that it’s not your gift, because if you are serving people with your real gift from God you will make you living out of it and no one will take it away from you,” said Ngomane.
Among other artists who entertained the guests at the Sentimental Worship Experience Gospel music concert was Nery Chawane, Herbert Ndlovu, Bongi Mkhabela, and Sidwell Mathebula. Just-Sam productions will be hosting another gospel concert with local artists on the 9th of December at Mkhuhlu.
