Miss Eagle South Africa is a pageant aimed at honouring young women who want to make a difference in the lives of her fellow South Africans, especially the communities where they live. The winner will represent South Africa on a national and international platform.

In an interview with NewsHorn,  20-year-old old Mthombothi said she needed  public support in order to win the title so that she can be in a good position to help fellow women to unleash their potential and inspire them to make sure that they achieve their dreams.

“I also want to use the platform to spread the awareness of mental illness especially in the black community because I have realised that people in our areas are ill-treating those suffering from mental illnesses. They treat them as if they are not human. After winning the pageant I will embark on a serious campaign to educate people how to treat the mentally challenged people,” she said.

Mthombothi is currently writing a book based on her life story titled “My journey, not easy but rewarding.” She is also an ambassador for MotoFind.co.za.

The finals will take place on October 27 in Gauteng.  To vote for her sms Lungisa to 35334 (sms cost R3)
