MEC for Public Works, Roads and Transport Gillion Mashego has condemned the disruption of voter registrations as well as the ongoing protest by residents of Dludluma in Nkomazi.
Since the past weekend residents took to the street in order to protest against lack of service delivery. They were complaining about the lack of proper roads and other related services.
Mashego has urged residents to remain calm as the department was still committed to its mandate of providing safe, reliable and efficient public infrastructure especially roads.
“As a result, designs for the 8km road from Dludluma to Mbangwane have already been completed. The 13km road in the west, ending at Mananga, is also out on tender while the section of Mbangwane-Steenbok-Khombaso is scheduled for design in 2019/20 financial year,” said Mashego.
