The EFF protest at Nelspruit High and Primary School in Mbombela saw a hand full of EFF protesters arrive at the school. A proper protest will be held tomorrow, Wednesday. This is according to Collen Sedibe from the EFF to whom NewsHorn spoke on the phone a few minutes ago.

The protest is believed to be as a result of not enough schools in the specific area where the Primary school is located.

NewsHorn talked to the Mpumalanga Education MEC Reginah Mhaule who said that all learners will be accommodated in schools by next week. She is awaiting a list of all the children who could not be placed and could not start the new school year.

The EFF is demanding that a balance be struck at Nelspruit Primary School as it  offers five Afrikaans classes per grade and one only one English class. The EFF says it is protesting in support of parents whose children haven’t been admitted to school.
