FROM today (March 1) on new toll-gate tariffs apply on the N4 toll road between the Mozambican border and the Botswana border, and on the toll sections of the N1, N2, N17, N12, R30, and R21.
The South African National Road Agency (SANRAL) announced late last month that it would be implementing new tariffs across the roads.
SANRAL said the adjustments are made on an annual basis to keep the toll tariffs aligned with inflation rates.
On March 6, motorist should expect to dig even deeper with a predicted increase in petrol.
The AA says that the price of petrol is expected to increase by approximately 73 cents per litre while the price of diesel will increase by as much as 92 cents per litre.
