The South African National Editors Chief Executive, Kate Skinner, told NewsHorn just minutes ago that SANEF is supporting him in any way they can with legal assistance and whatever else may be needed to address this atrocity and gross misuse of the justice system.
Skinner will be talking to Etienne today again and plan the road ahead. Word of mouth around Mbombela is that 27 others were jailed with him, but it is impossible to get SAPS to confirm that.
We support Etienne as a journalist with character and drop-dead honest. His next appearance is on June 27.
