Sixteen people were hospitalised yesterday when a bakkie rolled on the N11 Highway outside of Hendrina in Mpumalanga.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the bakkie lying in the middle of the road. Several people were found walking around on the scene while several others were seated on the side of the road. Paramedics assessed the patients and found that 16 had sustained moderate injuries. It is believed that most of the patients had been on the back of the bakkie when the vehicle rolled.
Paramedics treated the patients before transporting them to Middelburg Provincial hospital for further investigations. Further investigations surrounding this incident is underway.
