MINISTER for International Relations and Cooperation Lindiwe Sisulu has instructed relevant stakeholders to make sure that the four bodies of the South Africans who died in Mozambique are returned home.
They died last week while swimming in Maputo, a capital City of Mozambique.
“The minister has instructed relevant people to ensure that all necessary processes and documents are concluded as soon as possible for the repatriation of the bodies and for the families to return home as early as possible,” the department said in a statement.
Sisulu extended her condolences to the families lost they are loved once during the tragedy.
The deceased were part of the eight people who travelled to Mozambique to celebrate a birthday last week. They drowned while swimming and their bodies were recovered this week.
Sisulu thanked the government of Mozambique for their efforts to recover the bodies.
