Three killed in a minibus crash on the N4


Three people have died when the minibus taxi they were traveling in lost control and overturned on the N4 Road near Emalahleni.

The crash happened at about 7:20 today (03 May 2019). The minibus taxi was traveling from the direction of Vosman towards Emalahleni.

The three deceased are passengers of which is two females and a child.

Two other passengers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospitals in Emalahleni.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.

Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC Pat Ngomane is sending condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

He is making a call to all public transport to make the lives of their clients a priority.

“Public transport drivers must not gamble with the lives of innocent people all in the name of money.

“Owners of public transport, you must expel all drivers who continuously fail to obey the rules of the road. We are also sending a warning that if our traffic officers catch your drivers on the wrong side of the law, they are going to be harshly dealt with,” he says.
