The first ever World Aerobatic championship to be held on African soil will start on 9 September with the arrival of contestants, guests and the international media. The official opening ceremony will also be held on this day.
Residents in the area have already started noticing the aircraft in the air in Nkomazi and all eyes will be on our South African Nigel Hopkins who in July this year won the national championships, also held outside Malalane.
Event Schedule: 9 September 2017. Arrivals, Judges Briefing and Opening Ceremony.
10 to 17 September 2017. Competition Flights.
17 September 2017. Public Display, Closing Ceremony.
18 September 2017. Departures.
NewsHorn will have a presence at the event and will keep our readers advised. All the top international aerobatic pilots from across the globe will vie for the winner’s podium and with the exposure the town and the area will be getting, from the 9th of September the world will know where Malalane is.
